Basement geology in the Alberta portion of the Athabasca Basin: context for the Maybelle River area
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Basement to the Athabasca Basin in northeastern Alberta comprises Early Proterozoic (ca. 1.97 Ga) plutons of the Taltson magmatic zone and remnants of its infrastructure, inferred Archean rocks of the Rae terrane. The northwest-trending Maybelle River high-strain zone affects these granitoid rocks over widths of several metres to tens of metres for at least 100 km. Four end-member types of granitoid rocks range in texture from massive igneous, through ductile to brittle-ductile mylonite. In the Maybelle River area these have a 'continental arc' geochemical affinity. The U-Pb, Sm-Nd, and oxygen-isotope data suggest that partial melting of the local crust is the most likely magma source. Geochemical, isotopic, and structural data are consistent with the development of the Taltson magmatic zone within an intraplate orogen in a thermally weakened region of the Archean Rae crust, triggered by Early Proterozoic mantle downwelling.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
