Abstract
Este artigo apresenta um curso de formação continuada realizada com professores de Educação Infantil no projeto de extensão intitulado “Música na infância: cantar e contar na Matemática” da Faculdade de Educação, da Universidade Federal da Grande Dourados. A formação atendeu a catorze docentes de uma instituição municipal de Educação Infantil do interior do Mato Grosso do Sul. O projeto teve como objetivo incentivar os docentes a utilizar a música para desenvolver o conhecimento Matemático na Educação Infantil e aprimorar atividades que já são realizadas na instituição, para que possa haver a articulação entre a Música e o conhecimento Matemático. Como referencial teórico utilizamos os documentos nacionais da Educação Infantil e alguns teóricos da área. Esse trabalho mostrou as possibilidades de desenvolvimento do pensamento lógico matemático e construção de registros reflexivos e de atividades a serem direcionadas às diferentes idades na Educação Infantil.
