Relationships of sediment physical properties from the JAPEX/JNOC/GSC et al. Mallik 5L-38 gas hydrate production research well
Bibliographic record
Abstract
An international research program was conducted in the Canadian Arctic to study a highly concentrated occurrence of natural gas hydrate. More than 192mof high-quality core were recovered from depths of 885 m to 1151 m to verify other measurements and to study the inter-property relationships between the host media and gas hydrate located within the sediment pore spaces. Profiles of the following measured and derived properties are presented from that investigation: water content, sediment wet bulk density, grain size, porosity, gas-hydrate quantity estimated from well logs, core temperature, and pore-water salinity. These data indicate that the greatest concentrations of gas hydrate are typically controlled by lithology and are located within coarser grained deposits. Interbedded, finer grained sediment, however, may also contain some gas hydrate. More importantly, such sediments may constrain the locations of natural gas migration and accumulation during the gas hydrate formation process due to their different physical properties.

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
