Le présent texte propose une réflexion sur la notion de bienveillance dans le domaine de l’éducation partant d’un retour sur certains auteurs qui en ont marqué les contours et en confrontant ces conceptions de la bienveillance avec la façon dont elle est opérationnalisée dans les textes officiels et dans certaines pratiques de l’école québécoise. Cette analyse mène à un cadrage du concept de bienveillance en le mettant en relation avec les concepts d’adaptation scolaire et de « Caring », les deux étant associés à l’optimisation du bien-être et de la réussite des élèves, le premier davantage dans une action collective et le second dans une perspective individuelle.
