Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The JAPEX/JNOC/GSC et al. Mallik 5L-38 gas hydrate production research well was an integral part of a field experiment to test the physical response of a gas hydrate deposit to various advanced production methods. As part of this effort, the Mallik 5L-38 well was the focus of an advanced, downhole, geophysical-logging program. Because gas hydrate is unstable at surface pressure and temperature conditions, a major emphasis was placed on the downhole-logging program to determine the in situ physical properties of the gas-hydrate-bearing sediments. This effort included the compilation of 'well-log montages' that display downhole log data obtained from the gas-hydrate-bearing sedimentary interval (891 - 1107 m) in the Mallik 5L-38 well. Also shown are numerous reservoir parameters, including gas hydrate saturation and sediment-porosity log traces calculated from available downhole well-log and core data.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
