Abstract
En sciences infirmières, la surveillance clinique est généralement présentée comme un élément incontournable pour assurer la sécurité du patient. Afin de mieux comprendre le déploiement du processus de surveillance clinique en contexte de soins critiques par des infirmières expertes, une étude en sciences infirmières a été réalisée en 2016. Cet article vise donc à présenter les résultats issus de cette recherche et une vignette clinique afin de rendre concret les liens qui existent entre la théorie et la pratique. Il en découlera une meilleure compréhension du processus de surveillance clinique par les infirmières expertes en contexte de soins critiques.
