Cet article vise à mieux comprendre le rôle des anthologies littéraires en Acadie. L’anthologie littéraire, en Acadie comme ailleurs, suppose des mécanismes d’inclusion et d’exclusion reposant sur des critères qui se veulent objectifs, mais qui, dans les faits, le sont rarement. Encore aujourd’hui, l’anthologie littéraire acadienne demeure au stade de l’inventaire producteur, et cette tendance à vouloir produire une littérature par l’existence même de l’anthologie se reflète de trois façons souvent concomitantes, toujours complémentaires : 1) retenir des textes dont la valeur littéraire est moindre, mais qui permettent de se donner un corpus ; 2) inclure des auteurs qui n’ont jamais publié un livre ; et 3) se concentrer sur les textes contemporains.
