Abstract
A obra de Jan Švankmajer é de grande representatividade para o movimento surrealista na Tchecoslováquia. Sua parceria com o compositor Zdeněk Liška foi fundamental para a composição e expressividade almejada para suas animações stop-motion. Será discutido primeiramente de forma separada, o compêndio de símbolos utilizados para a elaboração da animação. Posteriormente, analisaremos a obra composta em 1971 - Žvahlav aneb šatičky slaměného Huberta (Jabberwocky) para compreendermos quais elementos são utilizados na imagem animada e som que resultam em uma animação de grande representatividade para o surrealismo.
