Abstract
Cette communication expose les résultats en cours d’analyse d’un atelier de cartographie participative réalisé avec des jeunes Ilnuatsh de la communauté de Mashteuiatsh en avril 2016, et dont l’objectif était de connaître leurs représentations et pratiques du territoire (activité faisant partie du projet collaboratif « Tshishipiminu », réalisé avec Pekuakamiulnuatsh Takuhikan et le Musée Amérindien de Mashteuiatsh depuis 2011). En confrontant les cartes produites par les jeunes, et leurs discours sur celles-ci, à d’autres données sur la territorialité des Pekuakamiulnuatsh, nous formulons l’hypothèse que chaque génération porte en elle son propre territoire, recréant et réinventant sans cesse son lien culturel et son identification individuelle et collective à celui-ci, tandis que le contexte social et territorial évolue; mais que cette capacité est fortement altérée quand, dans un contexte de néo-colonisation, les conditions d’un contrôle autochtone autonome du territoire ne sont pas assurées.
