Abstract
La motivation au travail prend de plus en plus d’importance avec l’émergeance de nouvelles valeurs sociales qui favorisent la liberté, l’expression et la diversité chez les employés. F. Herzberg a élaboré une théorie de la motivation selon laquelle une personne est motivée par deux besoins psychologiques distincts : besoin de protection contre les éléments dangereux de l’environnement et besoin de réalisation de soi. L’originalité de cette théorie est d’établir une distinction entre les facteurs de conditionnement (sécurité) et les facteurs de motivation (réalisation de soi) qui sont à l’origine de la gratification dans le travail. Des réponses sont apportées, à la lumière de cette théorie, à quelques questions courantes des cadres d’entreprise.
