Le prsent article s'intresse aux stratgies de dveloppement de carrire des enseignants du secondaire. Il explore leurs aspirations socioprofessionnelles en tenant compte de l'incertitude qui caractrise le systme ducatif au Cameroun. L' chantillon est constitu de 289 participants ayant rempli des chelles sept niveaux suivant le modle de Likert. Ils se montrent intresss par les nominations aux postes de responsabilit, le dtachement dans d'autres administrations, les affaires et la politique. Le renforcement des capacits et surtout l'implication au travail s'avrent des stratgies moins favorables au dveloppement de carrire, contrairement l' engagement en politique et au recours aux rseaux relationnels influents.
