Abstract
L’application des AACR 2 aura un impact considérable dans le monde bibliothéconomique et bibliographique. Le présent article attire l’attention sur le glossaire présenté en annexe et particulièrement sur la définition des termes de l’édition qu’on y trouve. L’auteur passe en revue les principales confusions qui entourent la définition de l’édition et propose différents éléments de solution qui sont basés sur une application stricte des définitions données dans les AACR 2. Il insiste sur le retour au principe de base de l’imprimerie, la composition typographique, tant du côté des éditeurs que du côté des bibliographes et catalographes.
