Abstract
Aux yeux de la philosophe Hannah Arendt, la désobéissance civile comme objection de conscience se situe sur le terrain de la morale individuelle plutôt que sur le terrain collectif du politique. L’auteure propose dans son article une lecture arendtienne d’ Antigone (de Sophocle), figure classique de la désobéissance civile laissée de côté par Arendt, pour voir dans quelle mesure Antigone pourrait être qualifiée d’actrice politique par la philosophe. Cet exercice révèle les forces et les limites de la conception arendtienne de la désobéissance civile, laquelle valorise l’action en commun, mais néglige la portée politique de l’objection de conscience, en particulier pour les personnes marginalisées.
