Abstract
L’auteur présente un essai d’explication des faits qui ont influencé le développement des bibliothèques scolaires du Québec depuis les quinze dernières années. Suite à ce bilan succinct, il propose de repenser les structures actuelles, le rôle et les tâches du bibliothécaire scolaire selon un plan d’ensemble québécois axé sur la réévaluation des besoins et l’environnement global des usagers.
