Abstract
Le Nouveau-Brunswick a adopté en 2017 une loi qui entend « viser l’égalité des femmes et des hommes » en prônant un langage neutre ou indifférencié dans les titres d’emplois gouvernementaux. L’auteure examine la manière dont la seule province officiellement bilingue du Canada mène ce processus de langage neutre/indifférencié dans les deux langues (l’anglais et le français) et cherche à savoir en quoi les enjeux qui portent sur l’intersection entre la langue et l’identité de genre diffèrent selon la communauté linguistique visée. L’analyse est faite à partir d’un corpus de presse et applique une perspective féministe en sociolinguistique.
