Abstract
L’activité physique (AP) amène un grand nombre de bienfaits sur la santé tandis que la sédentarité exerce des effets néfastes. L’OMS a démontré à plusieurs reprises que la population mondiale devient de moins en moins active et de plus en plus sédentaire. Cette situation est particulièrement observée dans les pays industrialisés. Les conditions de travail peuvent être pointées du doigt pour expliquer ce phénomène croissant. De nombreux bienfaits et intérêts de la pratique régulière d’une AP au travail sont observés tant pour l’employé que pour l’entreprise et la société civile. Il s’avère donc indispensable d’instaurer des politiques d’AP au sein des entreprises. Ce domaine est en pleine expansion dans le monde entier (Australie, Canada, Etats-Unis, France, …). En Europe, le milieu universitaire n’a toutefois pas encore été étudié. Dans cette présentation, nous analysons l’AP des membres du personnel de l’Université de Liège.
