Abstract
Après avoir défini la notion de réseau automatisé d’information documentaire, l’auteur explique les facteurs qui en ont favorisé l’expansion : l’explosion de l’information, le développement de l’informatique et des télécommunications. Suit une brève description de quelques exemples de réseaux spécialisés fonctionnels et organisationnels. On développe enfin les principaux problèmes qui freinent l’implantation des réseaux : problèmes institutionnels et financiers tout d’abord, puis problèmes de normalisation et problèmes liés à l’usager.
