Abstract
À partir d’une relecture critique de l’analyse du travail des domestiques dans la littérature féministe matérialiste et en mobilisant une démarche compréhensive, l’auteure propose d’ajouter le concept de rapport de service domestique au rapport social de sexe pour comprendre l’exploitation des femmes migrantes dans les emplois à domicile en France. Trois aspects du matériau empirique collecté sont présentés pour saisir les enjeux de ce rapport social : l’organisation des migrations féminines sur le marché des emplois à domicile dans la continuité de l’histoire des bonnes; la spécificité du travail de service dans la hiérarchie sociale (re)produite au quotidien entre femmes; et les tensions et les subjectivités politiques qui émergent des pratiques sociales d’employées à domicile migrantes.
