Abstract
Le présent mémoire doctoral évalue l’implantation et l’efficacité préliminaire du programme CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training) qui vise à exercer une influence sur la personne dépendante aux substances psychoactives et réticente au changement par le biais de son partenaire. Le CRAFT a pour objectif de favoriser la réduction de la consommation de substances chez le consommateur et de l’amener à débuter un traitement, tout en améliorant le bien-être psychologique des partenaires. Le CRAFT a reçu de nombreux appuis empiriques aux États-Unis quant à son efficacité, mais n’a pas encore été implanté au Québec. Douze conjoint(e)s de personnes dépendantes sont recrutés et ont complété une série de questionnaires avant de débuter le traitement, 14 semaines et six mois après leur admission. Les cliniciens ont pu implanter adéquatement le programme et les résultats obtenus révèlent une efficacité comparable à celle observée au sein des études américaines.
