Abstract
Les projets présentés dans cet ouvrage sont le fruit d'une collaboration université-industrie faisant appel à la participation du laboratoire du Professeur Robert Chênevert, du département de chimie de l'Université Laval, ainsi qu'à celle de la compagnie OmegaChem Inc. de la région de Québec. Le champ d'expertise de la compagnie OmegaChem Inc. couvre le développement et la distribution de produits de chimie fine comprenant, entre autres, un large éventail de nouveaux produits fluorés. Elle exploite en outre un volet de synthèse sur demande fournissant des produits chimiques à l'industrie pharmaceutique. Le projet de maîtrise vise à développer des méthodes de synthèse, à l'échelle preparative, de composés destinés à la recherche pharmaceutique ou académique. Les composés en questions comportent un motif cyclobutanoïque et se déclinent en une variété de dérivés fluorés. Ces composés cyclobutanoïques permettent également de tester les aptitudes d'un nouveau réactif de fluoration développé par OmegaChem, le XTaIFluor-E. La synthèse d'un composé particulièrement versatile, le benzoate de 3-oxocyclobutyle, a bénéficié d'une optimisation minutieuse. Ce composé sert de produit de départ pour la synthèse de plusieurs autres.
