Abstract
Une réduction de la mortalité liée au cancer du sein, la première cause de cancer et la deuxième cause de mortalité par cancer, nécessite l'adhésion des femmes aux mammographies de dépistage répétées qui reste à ce jour la meilleure prévention secondaire. L'objectif de cette étude transversale était de mesurer et d'identifier les facteurs associés à l'intention d'adhésion des femmes aux mammographies de dépistage aux 2 ans du Programme Québécois de Dépistage du Cancer de Sein (PQDCS). Un questionnaire de satisfaction adressé par voie postale à 2 170 femmes de la région 03 (taux de participation de 73%) a permis d'évaluer leur intention d'adhésion. La régression logistique multiple a été utilisée pour identifier les facteurs. Cette étude a mis en évidence le rôle important des recommandations du médecin de famille (RC=0,12; IC à 95%= [0,09-0,17]). Plusieurs facteurs liés à l'organisation du PQDCS (accessibilité, transfert d'information), l'inquiétude des femmes en regard du cancer du sein et de la mammographie influençaient l'intention d'adhésion aux mammographies répétées. Cependant, d'autres études évaluant l'adhésion réelle des participantes du PQDCS permettra de confirmer ces résultats.
