Abstract
Depuis leur fondation au XIXe siècle et tout au long du XXe siècle au cours desquels ils se sont consolidés, les États-nations n'ont eu de cesse de se penser par rapport à des dynamiques internationales, impériales et transnationales de plus en plus complexes. En ce début de XXIe siècle, dans un contexte de mondialisation accélérée, les traditionnelles catégories de « national » et d’« international », à la fois concepts et réalités historiques, sont de plus en plus marquées par leur fluidité et leur porosité ; leur distinction claire et rigide semble ainsi de moins en moins résister à l'épreuve des faits.
