Ce mémoire vise à expliquer comment des femmes juives de la région de Québec vivent et conçoivent leur judéité au quotidien, et ce depuis la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Il cherche également à montrer comment cette judéité influence leur participation sociale et leurs rapports à autrui, et ce dans la sphère individuelle, dans la sphère communautaire juive, ainsi que dans la population générale de Québec. Le but poursuivi est de faire comprendre les mécanismes de conciliation de l'identité et des pratiques juives avec l'intégration sociale des personnes issues de cette minorité, dans une population majoritairement de souche francophone et catholique comme celle de la ville de Québec. Je m'intéresse particulièrement à l'identité féminine jui ve, la femme étant, selon la théologie juive, ± différente mais égale¿ à 1 'homme. La méthodologie scientifique utilisée consiste pour l'essentiel en une enquête orale auprès de huit femmes juives de la région de Québec.
