ÖzEngelli bireylerin turizme katılımlarını arttırmanın yolu, onların otel işletmelerinde rahat edebilmeleri ve sunulan hizmetlere rahat bir şekilde ulaşabilmelerini sağlamaktır.Engelli bireyler gerek otel işletmelerinde gerekse günlük hayatta değişik zorluklarla karşılaşmaktadır.Bu çalışmada engelli bireylerin otel işletmelerinde karşılaştıkları sorunlar ve çözüm önerileri ortaya koyulmaya çalışılmıştır.Çalışmada yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği uygulanmıştır.Görüşme sorularını içeren bir adet görüşme formu oluşturulmuş ve Burdur ilinde ikamet edip Antalya bölgesinde bulunan çeşitli 4 ve 5 yıldızlı otel işletmelerinde konaklayan 15 engelli misafir ile görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Verilerin analiz kısmında betimsel sistematik analiz tekniği ve frekans analizi tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır Araştırma sonucunda engelli bireylerin otel işletmelerinde karşılaştıkları en önemli sorunların; otellerin mimari yapısının engelli misafirler için uygun olmaması, otel personelinin engelli misafirlerle etkin ilişkiler kurabilmesi noktasında yaşanan sorunların yeterli eğitime sahip olmamaları ve engelli bireylere karşı ilgisiz tutumlarından kaynaklanmakta olduğu ortaya çıkarılmıştır.
