Abstract
WprowadzenieWystępowanie objawów okulistycznych u pacjentów cierpiących na niewydolność nerek zostało opisane już w latach 60. ubiegłego wieku (1).Manifestacje oczne w przebiegu uremii występują zarówno w przednim, jak i tylnym odcinku gałki ocznej.Zajęcie narządu wzroku może nie być istotne klinicznie, niemniej jednak w dostępnej literaturze przedmiotu opisano również przypadki pogorszenia ostrości wzroku lub nawet utraty widzenia, dlatego zawsze należy brać ją pod uwagę w diagnostyce różnicowej nagłego zaniewidzenia.Zmiany w przednim odcinku gałki ocznej dotyczą spojówki, nadtwardówki, rogówki i soczewki.Dolegliwości są niecharakterystyczne, najczęściej są to ból, zaczerwienienie, podrażnienie, uczucie ciała obcego, objawy zespołu suchego oka (ZSO) oraz pogorszenie ostrości wzroku.Zmiany pojawiające się w obrębie spojówki i nadtwardówki, manifestujące się przekrwieniem, mają tło niespecyficznego zapalenia.Najbardziej prawdopodobnymi wyzwalaczami reakcji zapalnej są sole wapnia odkładające się głównie w obrębie szpary powiekowej wskutek zaburzeń w gospodarce wapniowo-fosforanowej.
