Abstract
Inauguré le 7 juillet 2018, le nouveau musée de Lodève s’est engagé entre 2014 et 2018, dans un important chantier de rénovation et d’extension. L’article fait le point sur les différentes étapes de ce long processus, depuis la validation du Projet scientifique et culturel du musée en 2007 à sa réouverture. Il précise les partis pris qui ont été effectués par l’équipe scientifique du musée et détaille les acteurs du projet et leurs rôles. L’article rend également compte des contraintes auxquelles ont été confrontées les équipes tout au long des étapes de ce projet et souligne les opportunités qui sont parfois nées de ces contraintes.
