Abstract
This article analyses the process of formation social policy in Canada in the field of public health (including psychiatrics) and its relationship with social work. Novelty of work is proved by an insufficient level of study of achievements of foreign social work in our country. Conclusions of article are recommended to be used in educational course for training of experts on social work, and also in the practice of social work in psychiatry including Omsk region.
