Abstract
Le présent texte, s’appuyant sur une recension de la documentation, cherche à circonscrire le phénomène du double engagement et à identifier les éléments contextuels ainsi que les facteurs propices à son développement. Après un survol de la littérature relative à l’engagement organisationnel et à l’engagement syndical afin de cerner les tenants et aboutissants de ces attitudes, les principaux écrits en matière de double engagement sont analysés afin d’esquisser l’état des connaissances sur le sujet. Fort de ces constats, certaines perspectives d’analyse sont alors présentées et des orientations prometteuses de recherche sont proposées.
