Abstract
Au xviiie siècle, alors que l’on cherche à structurer et rationnaliser davantage l’administration des mines en France, la nécessité de repérer et cartographier finement les richesses du sous-sol s’impose. Les premières cartes minéralogiques, notamment l’atlas minéralogique de Guettard et Monnet, sont alors produites.
