L’iconicité de l’imaginaire japonais dans l’album illustré jeunesse en France

Abstract
À travers l’étude de deux albums publiés en France au début du xxie siècle mettant en scène le Japon – Le petit monde de Miki de Dominique Vochelle et Chiyaki Miyamoto et Aoki d’Annelore Parot – cet article examine la construction des représentations, des lieux communs et des stéréotypes et propose de voir quel imaginaire culturel s’en dégage. Ceci afin de s’interroger sur le rapport entretenu entre iconicité et idéologie dans les représentations de l’Autre dans l’album pour la jeunesse. Pour y arriver, il s’agit dans un premier temps d’identifier les principales marques de l’imaginaire japonais dans le message iconique des albums à l’étude. Puis dans un deuxième temps, nous offrons une réflexion sur la façon dont les stéréotypes peuvent investir le code iconique de l’album et sur leurs implications culturelles.
