Avec le Brexit, la France est devenue le pays européen qui possède le plus d’héritages coloniaux sur la planète : 6 pays d’outre-mer (PTOM) dont la Polynésie, où Oscar Temaru (indépendantiste élu 6 fois président) vient d’accuser la France à la Cour Pénale internationale de crime contre l’humanité pour les 193 essais nucléaires (de 1960 à 1996) ; et 6 régions ultra-périphériques (RUP) dont la Guyane qui, depuis le mouvement social de 2017, connaît un débat citoyen pour un changement de statut ainsi qu’une forte mobilisation contre les forages de Total et le consortium russo-canadien de la Montagne d’or, soutenue par le candidat amérindien d’Europe Écologie-les Verts.
