Abstract
Este ensayo explora las modalidades de una estética carcelaria que se impone como una solución figurativa pacificadora; y como un estilo supuestamente divulgador de una vitalidad cultural incandescente en las artes se esquematiza y atrae gestiones fotográficas dirigidas a revelar el substrato socio-cultural absorto por un régimen de poder que sigue siendo implícito en las prácticas representacionales enfocadas en la subalternidad. Así, la mirada interdicta de la fotografía y del fotoreportaje experimental, proporciona una oportunidad para dar a conocer la impunidad no sólo a nivel político sino también con respecto al quehacer artístico basado en la mitología de un modernismo triunfante y sui generis. Además, al repensar las variadas obras de los fotográfos contagiados por esta vertiente reflexiva atormentada por el encuadre y el poder coercitivo profundo, nuestra lectura proporcionará una interesante hermenéutica de los sistemas totalitarios de información a través del estudio de paradigmas carcelarios (no siempre explicitamente contextualizados) recalcados a nivel de marco, perspectiva, red e imagen.
