Abstract
Mi art?culo examina c?mo en los cap?tulos de Don Quijote 2 centrados en las bo das de Camacho se confrontan dos maneras antag?nicas de entender el teatro y la teatralidad, las cuales se asocian respectivamente a Camacho y a su rival amoro so Basilio. La primera confiere un estatuto ideol?gico a la exaltaci?n de la rique za, postulando en la aparente victoria del rico sobre elpobre un resultado necesa riamente inscrito en la naturaleza de las cosas. La segunda manera no pretende en cambio reproducir una situaci?n de dominio, sino resistirse a ella con el objeto de modificarla. En esta segunda concepci?n la pr?ctica teatral incide sobre la rea lidad com?nmente aceptada en lugar de procurar su validaci?n; a base de abolir la distancia convencional que separa la representaci?n dram?tica de la presenta ci?n real, la pr?ctica teatral de Basilio adquiere as? un car?cter performativo e incita a la reflexi?n moral.
