Abstract
L’entrée à la maternelle constitue le début de l’histoire scolaire pour tout enfant ainsi que pour sa famille. L’article présente les résultats d’une recherche portant sur les pratiques de transition mises en place au Québec pour les enfants vivant en milieu défavorisé, avant et après le déploiement du « Guide pour soutenir une première transition scolaire de qualité » (MEES, 2010). Les parents, les enseignants de maternelle, les directions d’école et des employés des services préscolaires 0-5 ans ont répondu à un questionnaire. Les résultats suggèrent que les pratiques visant à reconnaître l’importance des familles et les pratiques partenariales demeurent une cible à atteindre par les milieux scolaires en milieu défavorisé.
