Depuis 2012, entre 4 000 et 5 000 citoyens russes ont gagné la Syrie ou l’Irak pour rejoindre les rangs des différentes factions jihadistes incluant plus de 1 000 Daghestanais et Tchétchènes. Ce nombre fait de la Fédération de Russie le principal exportateur de combattants étrangers dans le conflit, dépassant même, en cela, des pays comme l’Arabie Saoudite, la Turquie et la Jordanie. À ce nombre, il convient également d’ajouter la grande majorité des combattants originaires d’Asie centrale, mais recrutés dans les centres urbains de la Fédération...
