Abstract
L’émergence d’une presse plurielle en Afrique subsaharienne au début des années 1990 a nourri l’espoir de l’avènement d’un journalisme authentique. Or, depuis, la littérature ne cesse de relever les profondes lacunes de cette presse. À partir d’une analyse du type documentaire, l’auteur émet l’hypothèse que les politiques publiques en matière de médias qu’adoptent les jeunes États indépendants des années 1990 expliquent ces lacunes et la difficile émergence d’un journalisme authentique.
