Cet article étudie le pouvoir et l’agentivité du lac Abitibi, personnage à part entière, dans L’amant du lac de Virginia Pésémapéo Bordeleau. Le lac Abitibi, étant lié au territoire, à la sexualité et à la spiritualité autochtones dépeints dans le roman, fait partie intégrante de la vie locale pour la communauté algonquine qui habite sur ses rives.
