Recentemente, um novo e inovador medicamento tem sido prescrito a pacientes com insuficiencia cardiaca. O sacubitril/valsartana e uma nova modalidade de medicamento que promove uma reducao de 16% na mortalidade, 20% na mortalidade cardiovascular e 21% nas internacoes hospitalares por insuficiencia cardiaca. O beneficio e clinicamente relevante, e o ensaio clinico que demonstrou tal beneficio alcancou significância estatistica sem precedentes.
