L'objectif premier de ce mémoire vise, dans une optique systémique, l'analyse d'un spectacle théâtral présenté au Théâtre Jean Duceppe, à la Place des Arts de Montréal, en mars 2000. Intitulé Sous le regard des mouches, il a été écrit et mis en scène par Michel Marc Bouchard. L'auteure de ce mémoire propose une étude des choix opérés par Bouchard montant son propre texte et s'inspire principalement de l'ouvrage lut Lecture du spectacle théâtral de Louise Vigeant (1989) qui suggère d'ancrer l'analyse du spectacle autour des trois pôles suivants : espace, objet et jeu. Ces sous-systèmes de la représentation constituent les grands axes d'analyse de l'oeuvre tout en faisant du texte dramatique un quatrième sous-système abordé corrélativement à l'étude des éléments scéniques. Par cette étude, l'auteure s'interroge sur la réalisation de la mise en scène et présente le résultat de ses observations autour du texte spectaculaire, en espérant ainsi contribuer à une meilleure connaissance de l'oeuvre de Michel Marc Bouchard. L'étude s'est effectuée à partir du spectacle auquel nous avons assisté le 25 mars 2000 et de la vidéocassette de la pièce enregistrée lors de la générale technique du spectacle le 23 février 2000 (par le réalisateur Jean-François Limoges).
