Abstract
Cet article examine les différentes perspectives accordées au concept de capabilités en économie normative puis dans le cadre de l’éducation et de la formation. Il souligne également les différents enjeux de son opérationnalisation dans le cadre du projet EIEDD-ANR-16-FRQSC. En envisageant l’injustice comme une inégalité des capabilités des individus, le concept de capabilités offre la possibilité de mieux s’interroger sur l’idée de justice environnementale et sur les modes de gouvernance des risques environnementaux. En outre, en mettant l’emphase sur la liberté de choix des individus et sur leurs libertés d’agencéité, l’approche par les capabilités apporte un éclairage riche et nuancé sur les libertés réelles des jeunes du secondaire et sur leur pouvoir d’agir en matière d’écocitoyenneté.
