Abstract
El Puma concolor es el vertebrado con mas amplia distribucion en America y ha sido registrado en una gama amplia de habitats y estados sucesionales desde el sur de Canada, Estados Unidos, Centro America y Sudamerica (Costa pacifica, Costa Caribe, Andes y Amazonia, hasta el extremo sur de Chile y Argentina). El objetivo de esta investigacion fue establecer un analisis comparativo de las Politicas de Conservacion de Felinos Silvestres de Chile y paises de Sudamerica, enfocandose principalmente en el caso del Puma concolor. La informacion recopilada en este documento se categorizo desde lo mas amplio a lo mas especifico. Asi se compilo informacion de los felinos en general y del Puma concolor en particular. Luego en base a la informacion recopilada se elaboro una entrevista que se aplico a informantes claves para recoger su apreciacion sobre la conservacion de felinos.
