Abstract
L’actuelle tendance du big data favorise le développement des machines dites intelligentes au sein des organisations. C’est par l’intermédiaire de ces technologies que les acteurs économiques confèrent du sens aux données et automatisent une partie de leurs activités cognitives. L’auteur se propose d’examiner le passé de ces machines afin de mieux comprendre comment elles encapsulent des représentations de l’intelligence qui ont évolué avec la dynamique des systèmes de production caractérisant les sociétés occidentales. Il soutiendra en ce sens l’hypothèse qu’il existe une congruence entre l’intelligence des machines et l’esprit du capitalisme.
