Abstract
L’analyse des activités de care révèle une réalité sociale composée d’acteurs structurellement inégaux. Parmi eux, les personnes qui donnent des soins vivent des situations d’inégalité qui seront indépassables tant que le care sera compris sous le prisme enfermant des catégories de dépendance attribuées seulement aux personnes qui reçoivent des soins. Une société du care nécessite une réflexion plus globale sur les rapports de pouvoir induits par les relations et les activités de soins. Comme le démontre l’étude d’un cas légal jugé, en 2008, à la Cour Européenne de Justice concernant les discriminations dans l’emploi vécues par une mère d’enfant handicapé, la recherche d’une juste conciliation entre le travail de soins et l’occupation d’un emploi dans l’économie marchande est un angle d’observation. Aller vers une société du care passe par la refonte des modalités de la justice sociale laquelle reconnaît que le care prodigué constitue très souvent une situation désavantageuse du point de vue social.
