Abstract
Mon projet de maîtrise visait le développement d'un dosimètre à fibre scintillante pour la curiethérapie. Ce dosimètre permettrait de faire face plus aisément aux cas complexes d'irradiation, de plus en plus fréquents en raison de l'arrivée de nouvelles modalités de traitement. Le dosimètre à fibre scintillante al' avantage de posséder un petit volume sensible, d'être équivalent à l'eau et d'être peu coûteùx. Ce mémoire présente donc le processus de conception d'un nouveau type de dosimètre. Des mesures effectuées à l'aide de l'équipement de traitement du centre de radio-oncologie de l'Hôtel-Dieu de Québec montrent en effet la capacité d'effectuer des mesures de profil et de rendement en profondeur pour un faisceau de photons. Des mesures de dose in vivo pour un traitement de curiethérapie sont aussi présentées.
