Abstract
El fin de este estudio fue determinar cuantitativamente el desgaste dental y de ceramica durante un periodo de 2 anos por medio de una tecnica de superposicion novedosa. Se utilizaron 3 sistemas de ceramica: ceramica experimental prensada en caliente (CE), Procera AllCeram (PA) y metal-ceramica. Al inicio de este estudio se coloco de forma aleatoria un total de 90 coronas posteriores en 48 pacientes distribuidos dentro de 3 grupos, y se tomaron impresiones al inicio y en intervalos de 6 meses durante 2 anos. Se tomaron fotografias clinicas despues de aplicar una tincion para resaltar los cambios superficiales. Las impresiones se digitalizaron y se modelaron en forma de imagenes superficiales coloreadas, tridimensionales y superpuestas. La profundidad del desgaste en las areas de contacto oclusal se determino cuantitativamente a los 6, 12, 18 y 24 meses.
