El presente artículo forma parte de una serie que analiza el fenómeno de la extracción de recursos naturales en el marco del posconflicto en Colombia. En concreto, se pretende dilucidar el desempeño de la industria extractiva desde el prisma de los derechos humanos y la protección de las mujeres indígenas; con lo cual se introduce la cuestión y analiza la situación que se ha producido en esos territorios a lo largo del conflicto colombiano y tras la firma de los acuerdos de paz. Se pone de relieve la importancia del rol de la mujer, así como el papel de esta industria en relación con la vulneración de los derechos humanos de las comunidades indígenas y de sus derechos reconocidos por el derecho internacional. El artículo es un resultado del proyecto de investigación de Proiect Coordinator en la Clinique de Droits de la Personne / Human Rights Clinic CREDP/HRREC, Université d’ Ottawa / University of Ottawa, Canadá, en el cual se utilizó el método de análisis jurisprudencial y doctrinal; además se aplicó la metodología cualitativa, a través de la revisión documental, que permitió evaluar y presentar resultados.
