Abstract
Depuis juin 2014, le musée de la Cloche et de la Sonnaille est à nouveau ouvert. Ce musée conserve une collection d’objets provenant pour la plupart de la maison Granier, bien connue des bergers et des paroissiens languedociens. À l’aide d’une scénographie bien pensée et de supports de médiation variés, il met à l’honneur le patrimoine lié à la production des sonnailles, grelots, clarines et cloches d’église. Il restitue la culture technique des sonnaillers et des fondeurs héraultais en s’appuyant sur l’étude de leur savoir-faire, menée par Pierre Laurence et Sylvie Groueff, à la fin des années 1980. L’usine, à quelques pas du musée, a également fait l’objet d’un dossier réalisé par l’Inventaire général du patrimoine culturel en 2013, après la fermeture de l’entreprise Granier.
