Abstract
Este artículo analiza algunas de las representaciones que tienen los habitantes de Saint-Rémi, Quebec, respecto a los trabajadores migrantes agrícolas “temporales” y, a su vez, las representaciones que estos últimos construyen en relación con aquellos que viven en dicha comunidad permanentemente. Así mismo, se explica cómo las representaciones impactan en la construcción de las relaciones sociales entre migrantes y comunidad receptora. La investigación se fundamenta en la teoría de las representaciones sociales propuesta por Sergei Moscovici y en el trabajo etnográfico realizado en Quebec y en las comunidades de origen de los migrantes.
