Abstract
I doubt whether there were many farmers - many South Africans in fact - who enjoyed seeing President Jacob Zuma chortle his way through his last parliamentary question-and-answer session for the year. There is very little to smile about when looking at the present state of the SA economy, which narrowly escaped sliding into a technical recession with a GDP growth rate of 0,7% for the third quarter of 2015.
