Les fab labs et les médialabs s’implantent en bibliothèques publiques au Québec. À l’aide d’un exemple concret, soit le médialab de la bibliothèque de Sainte-Julie, le présent article examinera la mise en place d’un tel projet en ce qui touche l’idéation, l’importance de consulter les citoyens, les espaces de créativité, l’équipement, le personnel, l’émergence de nouveaux métiers et les enjeux concernant l’animation et son offre de services dans le monde des bibliothèques publiques.
